Founder’s Calling and History
To God be the glory for the things He has done!
I describe myself as a “Victorious Lady” because I know from first hand experience what the healing power of a “one on one” personal relationship with Jesus Christ can do. I have a consuming passion for seeing pain turned into power in the lives of hurting and lost women because that is what Jesus Christ has done in my life. Esther’s Urban Missionary Academy is developing, equipping, connecting and mobilizing laywomen for this purpose.
Missionary Constance Watson, founder and chancellor of EUMA is a 1971 graduate of North Carolina Central University and holds a B.A.
Degree in Sociology. She is also a 2006 graduate of Southwestern Christian University where she earned a Master of Ministry Degree in Christian Leadership. She has worked in inner city outreach and missions in Atlanta for 21 years. She began ministering to women and their families in 1990 and has been a missionary since 1999.
Primary Scriptural Directives:Jeremiah 29:11,Titus 2:3-5, Isaiah 61:1, Revelations 12:11 and Acts 1:8.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Undergraduate degree in Sociology and 18 years experience with the State of North Carolina serving special needs populations
Involved in Inner City Outreach Ministry in Atlanta Georgia since 1990 - 13 of those years with FCS Urban Ministries
Commissioned and serving as a missionary since 1999
Master of Ministry Degree in Christian Leadership from Southwestern Christian University, Bethany Oklahoma
Esther’s Urban Missionary Academy opened May 20, 2005
